She's made her mark in Smithsburg, dedicating 27 years to crafting standout looks for her community. In 2019, after gaining invaluable experience and building strong relationships under her previous boss for two decades, Renee took the leap and became the owner of the salon. Her focus? To keep delivering amazing hair transformations and ensure every client leaves with a smile, all in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere.

Cheryl Sanders is our dynamic Hair Stylist and Nail Technician, whose journey at our salon began as an Assistant/Apprentice. She has since evolved into a talented Level 1 stylist, always eager to expand her skill set and enhance her offerings. Cheryl is committed to continuous learning, ensuring she can provide a wider range of top-notch services to our clients.

Bri Ott is our skilled Hair Stylist and Nail Technician, proudly hailing from Smithsburg. She kicked off her career in our salon as an assistant and has since earned her stripes, boasting 5 years of licensure. By day, Bri is a full-time Dental Hygienist, but her passion for styling and beauty brings her back to us for 14 hours a week. It's clear she loves what she does, and it shines through in her dedication and the stunning results she delivers.

Maia Mathias is a vibrant Hair Stylist and Lash Technician, and a proud Level 1 stylist fresh out of The Temple, a Paul Mitchell school. As our go-to lash expert, Maia is eager to broaden her repertoire within the salon. Her recent graduation marks the beginning of an exciting journey as she brings the latest trends and techniques to her clients, ready to enhance their beauty experience with new and innovative services.

Kathy Plunkett is a cherished Hair Stylist with an incredible 40 years of experience, all rooted in her hometown of Smithsburg. She's a lover of all things vintage and Disney, bringing a unique flair and passion to her work. Not just a wizard with hair, Kathy is also the go-to trivia ace, always ready to be your "phone a friend" for those tricky questions. Her vast experience and eclectic interests make every appointment with her not just a styling session, but a delightful journey through her vibrant world.

Taylor Sherman is the promising apprentice at our salon, set to complete her schooling in May 2024. With a natural flair for creativity and artistry, Taylor is on track to become an amazing talent in the beauty industry. Her artistic approach promises a fresh and innovative future in styling, signaling exciting times ahead as she prepares to fully unleash her potential.

Only place I go for a haircut! Maia is great!! Able to squeeze me in for a last minute haircut before holiday travel!! Best place hands down!!
I've been going to Platinum Hair Design for a few years & have had my hair colored, highlighted, cut & styled by Bri, Cheryl & Maia, in that order. The results were amazing, every time, especially my last visit. Maia was so sweet & thorough, in every respect. She even took photos because my hair turned out beautifully. Although, they all took their time and asked questioned to get it exactly the way I wanted. I've never been let down, like many other salons I've visited. Once you experience Platinum Hair Salon, you'll never go anywhere else. They're the best.
Bri is the best! We bring the whole family and she always does a great job! She is kind and patient with our 3 kids! Hair cuts are a great experience and don’t feel like a chore with someone as sweet as Bri!
First time in and extremely pleased with the service, atmosphere and experience
When I called for my first appointment, I told the person who answered the phone that I was looking for someone that could cut fine hair. Not everyone can and do a good job. The person on the phone said that she could, so I made an appointment. Her name is Bri. She has cut my hair ever since. She cuts it exactly the way I ask her to and does a great job. I have only found 3 people in my adult life (and I'm 70 yrs. old) that I will allow to cut my hair. Bri is one of the three. All of the staff is great.
